I initially left out this ending from my talk because it felt too vulnerable to use such “religious” language in a seminar. I then thought about my Palestinian friends and their love

for poetry. And I decided that my words could fall under that category instead of religious and decided to add them back in.

My words are my own, but the inspiration came from the wonderful Reverend Munther Isaac in Bethlehem who writes about what Palestine can look like without Zionism.

If you are interested in Christianity that is Palestinian friendly, I highly recommend following Isaac’s work. He is active on Facebook and Substack.

Zi0nist Jews don't "need a homeland".

They need a therapist.

Honestly.

So much of the gen0cide equation is built on Zi0nist Jewish feelings.

The most RATIONAL response for a person with Jewish heritage to have, is to speak up against a gen0cide.

To say Never Again must include EVERYONE.

We honour those who were ki||ed by fascists nine decades ago, by protecting those who are under attack by fascists in the here and now.

This is TOTALLY off topic.

But something I've been thinking a lot about:

Identity is a fascinating thing.

As is culture.

As is religion.

Thing is. They are mostly illusions.

We might have lumped ourselves together with those who share the same skin colour as us.

Or who believe in the same god as us.

Or wear the same footy scarf as us.

But there's one category that I don't think gets enough airtime.

I woke up during the night and couldn't fall back asleep.

So I decided to catch up on some videos on instagram.

First one is from the wonderful Chris Sidoti.

With a HEARTBREAKING STORY of a 14 year old girl with coeliac disease.

I have a daughter with coeliac disease.

No one needs to die from coeliac disease.

The cure is simple.

Don't eat gluten.

Not only was a 14 year old girl denied food, like everyone else in G♡za.

But when her body was so malnourished because of contamination from gluten, the "most moral army" in the world denied her family's request for medical evacuation.

The 14 year old girl died.

TWO WEEKS LATER....HER EVACUATION ORDERS WERE GRANTED!!!!!!!

If a Christian believes that "Jews deserve a homeland", at the EXPENSE of another people group.

Conveniently enough, it's also how you know if someone is a Zi0nist janitor. Or a Zi0nist zoo keeper. Or a Zi0nist therapist. Or a Zi0nist red-head. Or a Zi0nist Atheist. Or a Zi0nist city council CEO.

Okay...so backstory is:

Late on Friday night, Melbourne City Council CANCELLED our Christian Zi0nism seminar that was happening on Sunday evening in a local library. @anti.zionism.australia had already had five previous seminars in our series there with absolutely ZERO CONCERNS.

A very vague reason was given. Cancelling at 7pm on a Friday night is genius if you don't want the event to be rescheduled.

Every venue I checked in person and online, said it was too short notice to book Sunday evening.

Next morning (Saturday) I visited Coburg Library. We held our first event for our series there...and more importantly...Merri bek council is one of the few councils in Melbourne who are not under the Zi0nist spell.

The very lovely librarian explains that unfortunately he can't help. Events are a council issue and they don't work on weekends. I explain the situation and ask if he'll at least email the council person in charge. Then it's up to them to choose to respond or not.

A few minutes later, he waves me back to the desk, and stage whispers:

DOES CHEESECAKE LADY MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU????

😆😅🤣

Turns out the council lady had given me lemons from her tree and I had given her cheesecake in return.

Library dude: Cheesecake has very high currency. You're good to go for hiring the hall tomorrow!!!

✨️And THAT is the beauty of being part of a community ✨️

Tell me...when you were a child, did you think about what you would do if Naz!s came for you?

Or what you would do if Naz!s returned and tried to take your family & neighbours?

I'm trying to remember how old I was when I first started having these thoughts.

It's as if they have always been part of my DNA.

I can't even remember how I first heard about having to hide from Naz!s.

But I know those stories shaped me.

And I deeeeeeeply knew that if there was ever an opportunity to fight "naz!s"...I wouldn't be a bystander.

No matter what the cost.

I would do whatever it took to protect lives. Not just my family, but my neighbours and anyone else who was at risk.

Of course I could NEVER have imagined that once I was grown up I would have this opportunity.

And what's especially wild is that mostly I can do it on a hand-held device!!!

I used to imagine having to hide in attics or basements or cold forests...

I heard that newspapers were a great way to keep warm so I planned on always having some ready in case I needed a quick escape.

But no, "protecting innocent lives" can amazingly be done without leaving home and lugging heavy newspapers through damp forests.

The "battle" is online.

Little Veronica would probably have been horrified at how lazy that seems. Where's the risk? Where's the sacrifice?

I often get told how brave I am...and it always surprises me...

I don't feel brave.

Because bravery requires leaving our comfort zone. And almost everything I do, is while I'm safely tucked away.

And bravery requires a choice...and for whatever reason that doesn't factor in for me. I'm literally COMPELLED to speak up when there's injustice.

But yes...back to my question. Did you grow up thinking about this?

Yesterday was a really special day.

Having Nick Hanna speak for two hours with such clarity & insight was exactly what so many of us needed.

I'm still amazed that he agreed to fly down from Sydney without knowing if people would show up.

And that's the thing, I didn't know either.

I “felt” he would….

But that's a big risk…especially when I had to borrow money from a friend in order to make it happen.

And when I looked at the numbers yesterday morning, I still hadn't covered the cost of the auditorium…and there was also flights & accommodation to pay.

So I quickly threw together a raffle hoping to help cover the money needed.

Well…

PEOPLE CAME!

Not every ticket sold…but enough to cover all the expenses.

Which meant that I could use the raffle money ($490) and transfer it all to PARA ✨️

I don't have exact numbers yet but the profits from the talk will go into my “events” fund so I can keep creating educational events like these.
