I saw a headline the other day that a bus sized piece of space “junk” was about to crash into the moon.

And my brain was at full capacity so I couldn't engage and read the article.

But it just added to my sense of dread and “everything is terrible” heaviness.

Then another article popped up about it last night and I made the mistake of clicking on it.

Because as if it's not bad enough that the moon is being abused. (And of course it's Musk)

Buried in the article is this outrageous detail that Israel has sent an invasive species to the moon! Somehow I missed that whenever it happened 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I recall knowing the name ‘Beresheet’. Because I remember rolling my eyes. The correct pronunciation should be ‘bereshit’ but they obviously realised that will be asking for ridicule.

But you can look it up.

בראשית (bereshit) = In the beginning..

Which is a reference to the book of Genesis in the Bible.

“In the beginning God created heaven and earth…”

It's the first sentence of the Bible.

So it's a perfect way for this Zionist (Colonial) project to again link their identity with an ancient text as they send aliens to the moon.
