Alice moments...
What a day what a day what a day!
It started off with hot chocolate with a new little friend who was telling me about her community that it takes her two hours on a mail plane and a looooooong road trip to get back to for school holidays. She speaks three languages when home and English when she's in Alice Springs with her foster family.
Thankfully I had brought some monkeys with me because I can't think of a more perfect forever home โจ๏ธ๐กโจ๏ธ
And then I spent most of the day selling merch at the Welcome Tent. (Although I had some stiff competition from the pop-up Rok Shop ๐ชจ๐ชจ๐ชจ) The Welcome Tent was lots of fun because I got to meet people from all around Australia as they arrived from veeeeeeeeery long trips. Including a guy I went on a Bumble date with which was his first & last online date

And as we took photos of the sunset and caught up on life I was reminded yet again how grateful I am for being happily single.
But then only minutes later being served hot chai by a man who roasted the spices himself...and realising that maybe falling in love isn't such a terrible thing after all.
And then I lined up in the world's longest food line. And I really don't understand how the organisers cobbled together this event when they were expecting maximum 150 of us...
and over 500 turned up!
Oh and then I bumped into Aunty Sue who I'll tell you more about this weekend and I'll share about the incredible work she's doing. I actually have a monthly payment going towards her efforts (microscopic payment...but still) and I hope some of you might join me. Honestly, she's a legend.ย
And yeah, that was the end of my day (besides being locked out of my motel room ๐ซ )
What will tomorrow have in store???
