Thanks to so much noise online about me faking my identity or being dishonest…
I decided to record myself reading the first few chapters of my memoir while being unwell last weekend.
That way people can listen for themselves and get it straight from the horses mouth.
If I can figure out how to upload them quicker I might keep reading. But at the moment it’s taking FOREVER so I’m not really motivated to continue.
So for the record:
I have never tried to hide anything about my background. The reason things get murky is that people make assumptions about who I am based on what they think are facts about Jews and Israelis. Reality is much more layered. And I happen to be an exception to the “rule”. And yes, there are LOTS of us who don’t fit the box.
Thing is, I was very much a Zionist for most of my life. So even if people want to claim I’m not really Jewish or I’m not really an Israeli…despite me having an identity card that says that I am, and I had to serve in the IDF because of that identity…it doesn’t really matter. Because I was willing to sacrifice my life for Israel. It’s enough for me that I know who I was and what I believed in…and that it’s now my responsibility to shine a light on Jewish supremacy and the death cult that is Zionism.
Someone recently told me: You seem so kind! How could you possibly have served in the IDF???
As if life is that black and white.
I’m sure there were lovely Nazis. Humans are complicated beings. We can be many things at once. It’s really time for us to shake off this very juvenile way of looking at people and assume that everyone that participates in a genocide are horrible ALL the time. They’re not. They are mothers and fathers. They are yoga instructors and academics. They are comedians and poets. In Israel you can literally have a trauma psychologist who is deeply caring then go and do his month of reserve duty slaughtering children in Gaza. Those two “opposites” blend seamlessly in the Holy Land.
Anyways…I digress. Here are the three first chapters of Happily Made that I published in 2014. Which interestingly is the year I saw the truth about Israel. So I don’t write anything about the unravelling in that book. That happens more in my second book. And of course is the focus of my third book that I’m attempting to write.
Chapter 1: Happily Made (featuring a surprise guest)
Chapter 2: Happily Made (guest remained on my lap so I read another chapter)
Please let me know if you would like me to keep reading and I will hopefully find a way to simplify the uploading.
