There are a lot of online “attacks” on me at the moment, which honestly I don’t care about. (Except that it can be time consuming which is annoying)
One of the Zionists favourite ways to attack me is to say that I must come from a broken home and that it’s the abuse from my childhood that has made me so hateful and damaged and why I’m seeking revenge etc etc.
So here’s the thing.
In some ways they are right.
Because I don’t know if I would have been able to turn my back on Zionism if I actually liked my family.
Which is a brutal admission.
It’s something I’ve been thinking about A LOT. Because one of the most common questions I get asked is:
HOW DID YOU BREAK FREE FROM BEING A ZIONIST????
Since the hope is that if we can find the magic formula we can then reproduce it over and over on all the Zionists.
Sadly that’s not how it works when it comes to humans.
But what I’ve realised is that one of my biggest ‘wounds’ (not liking my family) has turned out to be my salvation (being set free from Zionism).
Because our sense of identity is what shapes how we view the world.
And by me distancing myself from my family, my sense of identity didn’t have the same grip on me. And that allowed new ways of looking at the world.
I would like to think that I could have seen the truth about Zionism even if I was attached to my family. Because I have friends who have been able to do that. But I doubt I could have.
What’s interesting to me is that up until October 2023 (and a little bit beyond) I still felt a connection with my family. Things weren’t rosy by any stretch of the word…but I still longed for us to be a family. All that has vanished over the past three years.
When well-meaning people tell me it must be hard to not be liked by my family, I ask them if they would say the same to a German who was not liked by their Nazi family.
I’m very very very aware that I could have still been a Jewish supremacist/racist/revengeful Zionist…and thanks to not feeling connected to my family, I was able to break free. And incredibly that happened back in 2014…so by 2023 I was well and truly able to see the truth about the genocide.
And sadly I believe that it would be much harder to go against the “tribe” now because the “Jewish identity” has morphed so much since then - but that’s a whole other article!

Well i’m so glad you did Veronica 🥀🌹
