Friends & I decided long ago that being a strong woman does not mean being unfeeling. And the push back gaslighting is something else right now- maybe it’s a sign that the brave Australians posting ‘unwelcome’ facts are succeeding. Having the right person to debrief with can make such a difference. So wise of you.
Good people often disregard their own needs for the sake of others. Please do not feel guilty to take some time to focus on you. Listen to what your body is telling you. I say all this as a hypocrite who needs to take his own advice of course.
Take the all the time you need to look after yourself, Veronica.❤️ No single person can save us from the GlobalShitShow, so don’t be thinking you have to shoulder all of the load yourself- we can all do what we can, when we can. Because those of us who know how important staying engaged and being active is (however that manifests) also know that we have to stay with this for the long haul. I learned a new Arabic word today, it is zilzal, meaning earthquake. Perhaps you are having your own little personal zilzal moment… which is probably healthy, maybe necessary…..
