My brain is as confused as someone waiting for something awful to arrive and not knowing what's coming. I can't make sense of anything or why we're not more alarmed. Jump, run, scream, yell, panic! For the love of humanity, just fkn do something!!

I hope you will write more about this upcoming conference in Sydney. I've not read about it anywhere. Please keep us informed. πŸ•Š

Excellent analogy and observation of human behaviour. It seems that some of us instinctively react to potential danger (the head master at the Nepalese school who cleared all 900 students to higher ground without even knowing the full extent of the danger - the school building was obliterated soon after) while others are either in denial or just simply don’t have the same instinct to react.

The question is how to wake up these others to the same sense of urgency. It’s been 3 years ! 😒

Yes, please wrote more about this. And thank you for all that you are explaining

A perfect ananlgy. I "enjoyed" the longer post, as in, it was good to have more of your thoughts. Those of us who truly appreciate what you are doing welcome the challenge. You are so right, it's barrelling towards us and so few are paying attention.

I think it is a really good analogy. You could also include in it the use of AI videos (I will never understand the people who make those) as an analogy for β€œit is all the fault of the Palestians” and the like.

There is so much ruin, and devastation, and loss, and overwhelm, and I am so far removed from it all, and I can't even process what it must be like to be inside the circle of pain

Very good analogy, and a timely reminder that something that seems innocuous to people further downstream can turn into something devastating in a very short amount of time. I would very much like to read longer pieces about this topic and hear more about the upcoming conference.

I feel the rising tide of Zionism here in Australia so strongly, it is deeply disturbing- the farcical Royal Commission, our own Mossad Minns here in NSW, the invitation to Herzog, and now the IDF marathon runners, the secret meeting between Herzog and ASIO, all wrapped in a nice neat package of pro-Israel media, and silencing of Palestinian voices

I have been to protests where I can and written many letters

a very appropriate analogy Veronica - I often think what will it take for supporters of Israel to wake up?

Love the analogy you have used.
